Michael has been working with computers, servers, networks, and other technology for more than 25 years. His experience working across multiple industries (food production, agriculture, major retail, education, sales, construction, and telecom) has given him valuable insight and experience into a broad range of technology solutions. Michael has also been fortunate to work in multiple information technology roles, allowing him to be incredibly knowledgeable about many different aspects of IT. This has been invaluable to him in his recent leadership roles. These roles typically involve cooperation between software programmers, server and network architects, as well as non-IT stake holders from within corporations. Michael’s experience allows him to easily interface with each of these individuals at a level that they can each comprehend.
Michael’s passion is to be hands on with new technology. He enjoys building systems and servers in his spare time. Even when working with teams of staff members that reported directly to him, he always wanted to be the one to take the new technology for a spin first before delegating responsibilities for it to his team. It’s this passion that Michael demonstrates that ensures he remains current on bleeding edge technologies. While he may not be responsible for day to day support of each piece of technology, he still thinks it is important to be able to support each in case of an emergency.
While still attending college at Brigham Young University, Michael started his own part time business providing technology solutions to friends, family, and eventually small businesses. Today, that business has been rebranded “Quality IT.” Michael runs this business with his partners from Quality Telecom, full time in Sioux City, Iowa. His company provides technology services in South Dakota, Iowa, and Nebraska. While the company specializes in networking, media rooms, automation, computer repair, mobile phones, tablets, and security systems, they can accomplish just about any task. Rumor has it, Michael even repaired an espresso machine for one of his customers.
